Infrastructure

We actually operate the infrastructure behind the product.

HelixNodes is built by people who run servers, networks, routing, and DDoS mitigation — not just the billing layer.

Infrastructure is not a footnote.

A hosting company can have a beautiful control panel and still perform badly when the underlying platform is overloaded. We start lower in the stack. The hardware, storage, routing, DDoS protection, and server configuration are treated as part of the product.

Compute

High-frequency modern CPUs

Web applications often care more about strong single-thread performance and low latency than enormous core counts. HelixNodes prioritizes fast modern processors and sensible customer density. VPS nodes run on AMD Ryzen 9 9950X processors.

Storage

NVMe by default

Web hosting and VPS workloads run on NVMe storage. Fast storage matters for databases, PHP applications, package installs, application startup, WordPress, WooCommerce, and build workloads — it reduces latency for the operations your site actually performs, not just for benchmark numbers.

We run our own network.

HelixNodes operates its own network and routing infrastructure. That gives us direct control over upstream connectivity, route selection, DDoS mitigation, capacity planning, and troubleshooting.

When there is a network problem, we do not need to open a ticket with an anonymous cloud provider and wait. The people supporting the service can work directly on the infrastructure.

DDoS protection

Protection is built in.

DDoS attacks should not require an emergency add-on. HelixNodes includes network-level DDoS protection with hosting services by default, using Cloudflare Magic Transit combined with our own in-house mitigation technology.

Hosting stack

For shared web hosting, we use proven hosting software where it makes sense rather than rebuilding commodity tooling for marketing purposes. That lets us focus engineering effort on the parts that actually improve reliability and performance.

  • DirectAdmin
  • CloudLinux
  • LiteSpeed
  • Redis
  • MariaDB
  • Automatic SSL
  • Off-server backups

Backups

Separate infrastructure. Real retention.

A backup stored on the same server is not enough. HelixNodes stores hosting backups separately from the production node and retains multiple restore points. Exact retention depends on plan.

Isolation

One customer should not be able to ruin everybody else’s day.

CloudLinux resource controls isolate shared-hosting accounts by CPU, memory, process count, and I/O. That provides more predictable performance than traditional unrestricted shared hosting.

Data center locations

We only list locations that are actually available for provisioning today.

Ashburn, Virginia

Primary US location. Available now for all plans.

Good hosting starts below the control panel.

Modern hardware, our own network, and DDoS protection included by default.
